St. Croix Montessori offers a Music Enrichment Summer Program, led by Daniel “DJ” Sullivan. At the Music Enrichment Summer Program, the children have the opportunity to explore music using the Orff- Shulwerk method by creating rhythms and melodies on a variety of instruments in an ensemble through the use of xylophones, drums, and recorders. The older children (ages 9-12) learn the basics of the recorder and initiate and improve on their music reading and writing skills. At the end of the program, they have the opportunity to share their work and creations with friends and family at a showcase performance. All skill levels are welcome to join the fun.
