Seeking Teaching & Assistant Applicants for August 2018

With a rich, cultural history, a supportive and diverse island community, and a strong vision for the future, St. Croix Montessori seeks certified instructors and teaching assistants who are excited to engage in a growing program and see our mission fulfilled.

Our School

As Dr. Maria Montessori says, “the school is a society.”  For over 40 years, the Montessori community on St. Croix has modestly practiced the pledge to guide children’s cultural, spiritual, physical and intellectual development. We have a deep respect and dedication to ensuring the health and wellbeing of all citizens – in the Caribbean and across the world.

Established in 2006, St. Croix Montessori is a diverse community that directs 100% of giving to our community-based programs, need-based scholarships, and providing AMI-certified instruction in Primary and Elementary classrooms for children ages 2 ½ through 12 (preschool through 6th grade). The school also offers annual Summer Enrichment Programs with guest instructors to over 150 students from across the US Territories and continental U.S.

In addition to our fully-equipped classrooms, St. Croix Montessori has an extensive natural playground, classroom garden beds and composting, and partnerships with other community-programs, such as yoga, wilderness skills, Caribbean Arts and Culture, afterschool Children’s Theater, and Chess.

Our vision is rooted in community.

We seek team members who are excited, passionate, and dedicated to seeing our vision come to life!
