Why does St. Croix Montessori need to raise additional funds beyond tuition revenue?

St. Croix Montessori School is a 501(c), not-for-profit organization. We are committed to keeping tuition affordable.

Our Commitment

A Montessori classroom is a balanced environment, every detail designed to foster a joy of learning and peacefulness. As a non-profit, every dollar is invested directly in the people and programs that serve the children and families enrolled in the school.

To meet the needs of all children, takes time, energy, commitment, and money. Our commitment to quality, accessible education is faced with the realities of operating a non-profit school in the economically challenged U.S. Virgin Islands. We rely on the financial generosity and philanthropic efforts garnered outside of tuition in order to meet the gap between tuition revenue and operating expenses, and provide a diverse range of families in need with financial assistance.
